# Managing Quizzes

Find your way around the quiz page.

The Quizzes page lists every quiz imported into the course. Each quiz has its own page, with its rubric and questions on the left and its attempts in the right sidebar.

## The Quizzes page

Each quiz card shows the quiz name and whether it’s **Published** or a **Draft**. Use **Search** to find a quiz by name, and **Filters** to narrow the list. Click a card to open the quiz.

## The quiz page

* **The header** carries **Back to Quizzes**, **Duplicate**, **Publish** or **Unpublish**, and **Edit**. The quiz’s status, **Published** or **Draft**, sits under its name, followed by **No submissions uploaded** until your first upload.
  * **Duplicate** makes a draft copy with the same rubric and settings. Attempts, grades and feedback stay with the original.
  * **Publish** opens the **Sync Rubric To Your LMS?** dialog first, then makes the quiz visible to students. **Unpublish** hides it again without deleting any submissions, grades or feedback.
* **Quiz Rubric** lists the criteria and their points. **Expand Rubric** shows every rating in place.
* **Rubric Type** and **Quiz Type** show how the quiz is graded. Change them with **Edit**.
* **Questions** lists the questions **For TimelyGrader Grading**, each with its points, its criteria and its **Grading Notes**, followed by the **Auto-Graded Questions**, scored by D2L and shown for reference.
* **Final Submission Grading & Feedback**, in the right sidebar, starts with a single **Upload Submissions** button. After an upload it shows the last upload (file name and number of attempts added), the **Attempt Status** (**Pending review** and **Completed**) and the actions for attempts:
  * **Start Reviewing** opens the first attempt awaiting review.
  * **Manage Submissions** opens the list of attempts, where you push grades to D2L.
  * **Upload Additional Submissions** brings in attempts submitted since your last upload.
  * **Reset Submissions** clears the grading for every attempt in the quiz.

## FAQ

<details>

<summary>Why does publishing ask about my LMS?</summary>

The rubric decides what D2L can receive. With the rubric synced, per-criterion scores can pass back; without it, only each student’s overall final grade does.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does unpublishing delete anything?</summary>

No. Submissions, grades and feedback are all kept.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I keep editing a published quiz?</summary>

Yes. Click Edit at any time.
