# Releasing Quiz Grades and Feedback

Push finished quiz grades and feedback to D2L from the Manage Submissions page, the same way as for assignments.

Quiz grades and feedback reach students through D2L. When attempts are graded, push them from the **Manage Submissions** page. It works the same way as pushing grades for an assignment.

Auto-graded questions are never sent from TimelyGrader; D2L already holds those scores. If you didn’t sync the rubric to D2L, only each student’s overall final grade is passed back. See [Importing a Quiz](/d2l-support-articles/quizzes-d2l/importing-a-quiz.md).

### Open Manage Submissions

On the quiz page, click **Manage Submissions** in the right sidebar.

On the **Manage Submissions** page, select **Push to LMS**.

### Choose how you want to push back

Push Missing Entries and Update Existing Entries behave exactly the same as they do for assignments:

* **Push Missing Entries** adds grades only for students who have no entry in the D2L gradebook yet. Existing entries aren’t changed. Use it for your first push, and for attempts you grade after that.
* **Update Existing Entries** replaces some or all of the entries already in the D2L gradebook with the latest grades from TimelyGrader. Only grades that differ from the current ones are changed.

Before anything is sent, a review screen summarizes the push: the course, the pushback type and how many submissions will be pushed. Click **Push Grades** to send them, or **Cancel** to go back.

Update Existing Entries overwrites any existing D2L grades for this quiz for the selected students.

### Wait for confirmation

Stay on the page until the push finishes. A confirmation appears when it’s done.

Depending on your D2L settings, grades may become visible to students as soon as they arrive. Only push after grades and feedback have been reviewed.
