Not seeing your assignments or courses?

Making sure you access TimelyGrader in the correct environment.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Whether you are on the self-serve version of the platform or using our integrated version on D2L or Canvas, it's daunting to see an empty course with no assignments or somehow you can't log in.

If you see this, you are most likely logged into the wrong course shell or the wrong environment. First, let's go through the differences between the self-serve version and the integrated version of TimelyGrader.

Self-serve version: this is an environment that can be accessed by instructors that do not have an integrated version of TimelyGrader (https://app.timelygrader.ai/).

Integrated version: this is an environment of TimelyGrader that is integrated with your institutions LMS (whether it's Canvas or D2L). Most likely the URL reads https://youruniversityname.timelygrader.ai/.

Your data is segregated, meaning they don't 'sync' across environments.

We will go through a few scenarios in which this can happen and how you can get on the right environment.

1) Most common scenario: you are using the integrated version (either D2L or Canvas) and try to log into the self serve version of the platform. Do not try to create a new account with your university email. Instead navigate to the course shell on your LMS and launch TimelyGrader there.

Canvas Integration

Go to the correct course shell and click on Modules. Your administrator may also embed the link in the sub-navigation.

D2L Integration

Navigate to the right course shell and find the unit containing TimelyGrader in the content page.

2) You are using the integrated version but you don't see the TimelyGrader link. During your onboarding process, you likely created an module (Canvas) or unit (D2L) located at the bottom of the list of the course shell(s). This is a critical step in all user onboarding sessions so if it is not there, you are likely on a different course shell.

3) You are not using the integrated and you don't see the TimelyGrader link in your course shell. The integration with Canvas & D2L isn't something individual instructors can enable unless you are also a LMS administrator. You most likely created an account on our self serve-platform.
